KUWAIT CITY, May 6 (Xinhua) -- A heavy sand and dust storm hit Kuwait on Friday, turning skies across the kingdom orange and causing poor visibility in downtown Kuwait City.
In the Gulf desert country, dust and sand storm is a major natural hazard. Rainfalls are becoming scarce in Kuwait's dry season between April and October, making a gust easier to carry loose sands around.
