BEIJING, May 3 (Xinhua) -- Delivery services are in full swing in the Chinese capital of Beijing after restaurants in the city suspended eat-in and switched to delivery services from May 1 to 4 to reduce the risk of cross-infection amid the recent COVID-19 resurgence.
China is currently on the five-day Labor Day holiday starting on Saturday, which was expected to see high mobility.
Delivery companies in the city are encouraged to increase operational capacity to ensure the supply of daily necessities to local residents.
Eleme, one of China's major online food delivery platforms, has mobilized couriers to ensure 24-hour delivery.
