Belgian midfielder Marouane Fellaini has returned to China ahead of the 2022 Chinese Super League season.
BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) -- Marouane Fellaini has returned to China to prepare for the start of 2022 Chinese Super League (CSL) campaign.
The 34-year-old former Belgian international on Sunday posted a photo on social media showing him cycling in a gym.
"After five weeks of quarantine, time to work," he wrote on social media.
Fellaini made 23 appearances for Shandong Taishan, scoring 11 goals to help the Jinan-based side win both the CSL and Chinese FA Cup title last season.
He has extended his contract with the Shandong club to 2025.
The start date of the new CSL season remains undecided. ■
