BEIJING, April 24 (Xinhua) -- China Mobile, one of the country's leading telecommunication operators, reported net profit growth of 6.5 percent year on year in the first quarter of 2022.
The company's net profit stood at 25.6 billion yuan (about 3.96 billion U.S. dollars) in the first three months, the company said in a statement.
The operator raked in 227.3 billion yuan in operating revenue in the period, up 14.6 percent year on year, according to the statement.
As of the end of March, mobile subscribers of the company came in at 967 million, with 5G subscribers reaching 467 million. ■
