A Chinese logistics company has recently recruited over 3,200 couriers and sorters nationwide to help with logistics in Shanghai. Most of them have now been put to work, and the number of delivery orders in Shanghai is expected to return to about 80 percent of pre-pandemic levels this week.
Shanghai has been working hard to boost the supply of daily necessities for its population of 25 million, as it has adopted restriction measures to tackle the latest resurgence of COVID-19 since late March.
