LONDON, April 22 (Xinhua) -- Mark Williams secured a quarterfinal berth at the World Snooker Championship after sweeping Jackson Page 13-3 on Friday.

The three-time world champion grabbed his victory with a session to spare and fired six centuries to equal the record for the most century breaks in a best-of-25 match.

Williams will wait to play against the winner between defending champion Mark Selby and Chinese hopeful Yan Bingtao while the two tied 4-4 after their first session on Friday.

"I don't think I can play any better than that at my age," the 47-year-old told the World Snooker Tour website.

"Us older players have got to adapt our games in order to keep up with the younger ones. I know I'm going to fall down the rankings eventually, so I'm doing all I can to ensure I can stay up the top for as long as possible," said the world number eight.

World number one Ronnie O'Sullivan is one frame away from his 20th quarterfinal appearance at the World Championships as he led Mark Allen 12-4 after two sessions.

O'Sullivan will probably meet Stephen Maguire in the last eight as the world number 40 is taking an 11-5 lead over China's world number seven Zhao Xintong.
