HARBIN, April 20 (Xinhua) -- Ice in the main stream of northeast China's Songhua River is melting. This year, the thawing comes earlier and ice floes can be seen flowing down the river.
According to the provincial hydrological administration in Heilongjiang, ice thawing started on April 7 in the Harbin section of the river, on April 13 in the Jiamusi section, and on April 17 in the Fujin and Tongjiang sections respectively.
