MADRID, April 16 (Xinhua) -- Villarreal's good week continued on Saturday with a 2-1 win away to Getafe which strengthens their case to qualify for Europe next season.

Unai Emery's side qualified for the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday and got off to a perfect start in Getafe with goals from Gerard Moreno and Manu Trigueros in the first 14 minutes.

Enes Unal pulled a goal back for Getafe in the 63rd minute, but the home side were unable to create problems for Villarreal in the rest of the game, although Villarreal will be worried when Moreno ended the game with physical problems.

Real Sociedad and Betis drew 0-0 on Friday night which leaves Betis level on points with fourth placed Atletico Madrid, who face Espanyol on Sunday.

Both sides had chances, although Real Sociedad's Alexander Isak missed the best opportunities of an entertaining game.

Elche assured their top-flight future for another year with a 3-0 win at home to Mallorca, who remain deep in trouble.

Johan Mojica opened the scoring just before halftime, before Pedro Bigas's strike and an own goal from Lee Kang-in sealed the result after the break.

Joselu's 64th minute strike, with the help of Rayo Vallecano keeper, Stole Dimitrievski, ended a run of 7 games without a win for Alaves and temporarily lifted them off the bottom of the table, while extending Rayo's winless run to 13 matches.

Osasuna leapfrog Valencia in the table after a 2-1 win in the Mestalla Stadium, which punished Valencia coach Jose Bordalas for resting players ahead of next weekend's Copa del Rey final.

Chimmy Avila put Osasuna ahead from the penalty spot after 50 minutes and Ante Budimir's looping header doubled Osasuna's lead with 15 minutes left to play.

Carlos Soler pulled a goal back for Valencia from the penalty spot after a possible foul on Goncalo Guedes in the 84th minute, but Valencia couldn't find an equalizer despite eight minutes of injury time.
