SINGAPORE, April 14 (Xinhua) -- Singapore reported 3,521 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the total tally to 1,152,177.
Of the new cases, 385 cases were detected through PCR (polymerase chain reaction) tests and 3,136 through ART (antigen rapid test) tests, according to statistics released by the Ministry of Health.
Among the PCR cases, 372 were local transmissions and 13 were imported cases. Among the ART cases with mild symptoms and assessed to be of low risk, there were 3,035 local transmissions and 101 imported cases, respectively.
A total of 272 cases are currently warded in hospitals, with nine cases in intensive care units.
No death was reported from COVID-19 on Thursday, keeping the total death toll at 1,309, according to the ministry. ■
