CAIRO, April 9 (Xinhua) -- Iftar, the evening meal for Muslims to break their fast after sunset during the holy month of Ramadan, is a special moment for reunion, not only between family members, but also between friends and neighbors.
In Egypt, some Muslims have their iftar inside the Al-Azhar Mosque, one of the earlier mosques in Cairo.
In Iraq and Palestine, some Muslims have their fund-raising banquets amid soaring prices.
