MADRID, April 6 (Xinhua) -- Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti will be able to sit in the dugout to direct his side's UEFA Champions League quarterfinal first-leg tie away to Chelsea on Wednesday after returning a negative test for COVID-19.
The Italian missed his side's 2-1 win away to Celta Vigo on Saturday after testing positive, and it had looked likely that he would miss the Champions League clash against one of his former clubs after again returning a positive test result on Monday.
The coach took a further PCR test on Tuesday which the club confirmed on Wednesday morning had returned negative, and consequently Ancelotti will "fly to London to join up with the first team." ■
