BEIJING, April 5 (Xinhua) -- A former player of China's now-defunct football club Jiangsu Suning has asked the club's owner Suning Holdings Group for his unpaid salary.
Ex-Jiangsu midfielder Yang Jiawei made the plea on his social media account after seeing Inter Milan, which is also owned by Suning, beat Juventus 1-0 in a crucial Serie A game on Sunday.
"The scene of the opposition's coach throwing his clothes in anger reminded me of the money, of a small amount, that Suning still owes us," wrote Yang, who joined Jiangsu in 2016.
"It is compulsory to pay unpaid money. I wish you could consider our grief while reveling in the win," he added.
Jiangsu Suning folded last February, just over 100 days after winning their maiden Chinese Super League title. ■
