GLOBALink | Makeshift hospital under construction amid COVID-19 resurgence in China's Heilongjiang

HARBIN, April 4 (Xinhua) -- Construction of a mobile cabin hospital in Harbin, northeast China's Heilongjiang Province has picked up steam in March amid the latest COVID-19 resurgence. The Hanan International Development and Opening Headquarters located in Pingfang District of Harbin is being renovated and will be converted into a mobile cabin hospital to accommodate 2,000 patients, 500 medical workers and 300 logistics staff members. The total construction area is about 60,000-70,000 square meters. Construction of the facility is underway and the project is expected to be finished at the end of April.
