RIO DE JANEIRO, March 28 (Xinhua) -- Flamengo are in advanced talks to sign left-back Ayrton Lucas from Spartak Moscow, according to widespread media reports in Brazil.
Ayrton has agreed in principle to a nine-month loan contract that includes an option to remain at Flamengo permanently, should all parties agree, newspaper O Globo said on Monday.
It added that the 24-year-old is due to arrive in Rio this week for a medical and to finalize personal terms.
A former Brazil under-23 player, Ayrton began his professional career at Fluminense before joining Spartak Moscow in 2018.
He made 108 appearances for the Russian club, scoring four goals and providing 11 assists. ■
