YAOUNDE, March 29 (Xinhua) -- Kribi Port is the first deep-water port in Cameroon.
In 2011, the China Harbour Engineering Company Ltd. or CHEC, came to construct the port, and in three years Phase I of the port was completed.
The port has stimulated the country's economy.
As part of the project, CHEC also constructed the Kribi-Lolabe highway that will cater to the requirements of the port transportation and logistics.
Currently, CHEC is busy constructing the Kribi Deep Sea Port Phase II. After the completion of the project, it is expected to become a large container transit port and comprehensive hub port in Central and West Africa.
