JERUSALEM, March 27 (Xinhua) -- Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett denounced the latest attack by Yemen's Houthi militia on Saudi Arabia.
Speaking at the start of his weekly cabinet meeting, Bennett said that the Israeli government condemned Friday's "horrible attack," and accused Iran's Revolution Guards Corps of standing behind the Houthis.
His remarks were made while U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken was in Israel for a summit of Arab ministers and a week after media reported that the United States may remove Iran's Revolution Guards Corps from its foreign terrorist organization blacklist as part of the nuclear deal between Iran and world powers.
"The thought that this organization will be removed from the terrorist list is very disturbing and not just for us," Bennett said, adding that they are still working toward preventing it.
Yemen's Houthi militia on Friday claimed responsibility for fresh cross-border drone and missile attacks on oil facilities in the Saudi city of Jeddah and the capital Riyadh, the third such attack in less than a week. ■
