ULAN BATOR, March 23 (Xinhua) -- Mongolia added 85 new local COVID-19 cases over the past 24 hours, bringing the national tally to 468,785, the country's health ministry reported on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, the ministry said no new deaths were reported in the past day, leaving the country's COVID-19 death toll unchanged at 2,108.
Currently, there are 1,874 active COVID-19 cases across the country.
Nearly 67 percent of the country's population of 3.4 million has received two COVID-19 vaccine doses, 1,030,825 people have received a third dose and 112,753 have received a voluntary fourth shot.
Life in Mongolia has essentially returned to normal due to a high vaccination coverage and declining daily infections.
The Asian country has resumed in-person classes for all educational institutions and fully opened its borders to foreign tourists, who are no longer required to have a polymerase chain reaction test or be quarantined. ■
