BEIJING, March 20 (Xinhua) -- China's postal industry reported a robust increase in business revenue in the first two months of this year, official data showed.
The sector raked in a total of 216.8 billion yuan (about 34.18 billion U.S. dollars) during the period, up 15.7 percent year on year, according to the State Post Bureau.
In February alone, the sector's business revenue grew 27.3 percent year on year to 89.69 billion yuan.
China's express delivery companies handled 15.69 billion parcels in the first two months, surging 19.6 percent from a year earlier. Their business revenue amounted to 157.4 billion yuan during the period, an increase of 13.8 percent year on year. ■
