JERUSALEM, March 14 (Xinhua) -- Several Israeli government websites briefly went offline on Monday due to a large-scale cyberattack, Israeli officials said.
A denial of service (DDoS) attack has been identified on a communications provider which has briefly resulted in the prevention of access to a number of sites, "including government sites," the Israel National Cyber Directorate said in a statement.
The attack took place between 18:15 (16:15 GMT) and 19:30 (17:30 GMT), the statement said, adding that all sites have been restored and gone back online.
The Hebrew-language Haaretz newspaper reported that the websites of the Prime Minister's Office, Interior Ministry, Health Ministry and Justice Ministry, were targeted during the attack. ■
