COTONOU, March 4 (Xinhua) -- Tennis players from Hong Kong, China swept past their opponents of the Benin Republic in the first day's competitions of the Davis Cup World Group II playoff games held at the Friendship Stadium of Cotonou, capital of Benin on Friday.
Wong Hong Kit came back strong to claim a 1-6, 6-4, 6-1 victory over Beninese Alexis Klegou in the first men's singles rubber.
Wong Chak Lam Coleman then notched up the second victory for Hong Kong team after beating Delmas N'Tcha 6-4, 6-4 in the second rubber. ■
