RIYADH, March 1 (Xinhua) -- The Saudi Post (SPL) has broken the world record for the largest special stamp recorded in the Guinness Book of Records, the SPL president Anef Bin Ahmed Abanomi and the Director-General of Riyadh Season Majid bin Khalid Al-Ghurabi announced Monday at a joint unveiling ceremony.
The stamp has an area of 5.95 square meters, making Saudi Post surpass Walt Disney, the previous title holder for the largest special stamp in the world, whose stamp has an area of 4.11 square meters.
The stamp, in the middle of which is the logo of Riyadh Season in white, is characterized by a distinctive design that reflects the general identity of Riyadh Season and includes many icons that represent its activities.
Riyadh Season, an entertainment festival in the capital of Saudi Arabia, kicked off in October 2021 and will continue until March, with an aim to attract a diverse audience with more than 7,000 events, including music, arts, theatre, food and sports. ■
