ISTANBUL, Feb. 24 (Xinhua) -- Increasing housing prices and the pursuit for more affordable and nature-friendly dwellings outdoors amid the COVID-19 pandemic boosted the sales of tiny houses in Turkey.
The sale of tiny houses and land to install them has, for the first time, surpassed the number of regular homes and apartments sold in 2021 in the country.
According to official data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute, around 1.5 million "non-dwelling properties" were sold in 2021, with a 30-percent increase compared to the previous year.
