GUIYANG, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- National lawmaker Yang Changqin, a post-90's girl in southwest China's Guizhou, is an inheritor of Chinese intangible cultural heritage -- Chishui bamboo weaving.

The mountainous city of Chishui has been developing the bamboo industry in the past two decades, planting over 86,600 hectares of bamboo.

Yang has been working on the promotion of Chishui bamboo weaving for over a decade. She has helped many local villagers increase income by teaching them bamboo weaving skills.

After being elected as a deputy to the 13th National People's Congress (NPC), the national legislature, Yang has been paying close attention to the inheritance and development of intangible cultural heritage.

In 2020, she submitted a motion calling for the integrated development of traditional industries and rural revitalization.
