BEIJING, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Dutch skater Irene Schouten snatched her third gold medal at the Beijing Winter Olympics after winning the women's mass start here on Saturday.

The 29-year-old, who had won two golds and a bronze, added another gold to her tally in the last event held at the National Speed Skating Oval by finishing the 16 laps with 60 sprint points.

Ivanie Blondin of Canada seized the silver with 40 points, while Francesca Lillobrigida finished third with 20 points.
