"I think COVID-19 is very bad. We have been lost and panicked, and missed a lot of lessons," said Maria Eduarda, student at Jose Marcellino da Fonseca Major public elementary school in Brazil.
Her mother passed away in 2020 amid the first wave of COVID-19. In total, three parents of the school's students died in the pandemic.
"I've taken the CoronaVac vaccine," she said, hoping that vaccines could defeat the virus.
