JERUSALEM, Feb. 10 (Xinhua) -- Israeli champions Maccabi Tel Aviv beat Russian champions CSKA Moscow 84-75 in the 26th round of the EuroLeague basketball on Thursday evening.

The Israeli hosts achieved their 11th victory out of 23 games, while CSKA remain with 14 wins from 24 games.

About 11,000 fans at the Menorah Mivtachim Arena in the coastal city of Tel Aviv saw the home team dominate the first quarter which ended 23-17, thanks to points by Scottie Wilbekin and rebounds by Ante Zizic.

Jalen Reynolds and John DiBartolomeo started the second quarter strongly, and together with Wilbekin and Keenan Evans Maccabi later rose to 49-28 at half-time.

DiBartolomeo, Wilbekin and Reynolds continued to dominate the game, on the way to 67-46 at the end of the third quarter.

Gabriel Lundberg helped CSKA cut the gap, but it was too late to get back into the game.

Wilbekin scored a team-high 23 points, with Zizic adding 14 more.

Lundberg led CSKA scorers with 17 points, while Nikola Milutinov added 12 points.

Maccabi will play their next game in Turkey against Anadolu Efes, while CSKA will face Bayern Munich in Germany, with both games to be played on February 24.
