BUENOS AIRES, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Estudiantes have reached a deal to sign Paraguay international midfielder Jorge Morel on a year-long loan from Guarani, the Argentine club said on Wednesday.
The agreement includes an option for Estudiantes to secure the 24-year-old on a permanent deal, according to a statement on the club's official website.
Morel, who has been capped nine times for Paraguay's national team, is the seventh addition to Ricardo Zielinski's squad in the past month.
He is expected to make his first appearance for Estudiantes in a friendly against Argentinos Juniors on Friday.
Estudiantes will open their 2022 Argentine top flight campaign with a home clash against Independiente on February 12. ■
