BEIJING, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- Western Securities Co., a leading brokerage in China, reported a strong performance in 2021, with net profits rising nearly 27 percent year on year.
In a statement filed to the Shenzhen Stock Exchange, the brokerage said its net profits hit 1.42 billion yuan (about 223.3 million U.S. dollars) last year, up 26.86 percent from a year earlier.
Revenues jumped 30.53 percent year on year to 6.77 billion yuan.
Earnings per share were 0.317 yuan.
Total assets amounted to 84.78 billion yuan at the end of last year, up 32.76 percent from the end of 2020, according to the statement. ■
