BERLIN, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- FC Bayern has loaned out the talented Chinese goalkeeper Liu Shaoziyang to SK Austria Klagenfurt, the German league giant announced on Tuesday.
The 18-year-old goalkeeper, who has signed a contract with the German record champions until June 2025, is expected to gain match practice at SK Austria Klagenfurt over the next year and a half.
"Liu will be part of the professional squad in Klagenfurt and will play in the second team. We are convinced that he will find perfect conditions there to complete the next steps in his development," says campus manager Jochen Sauer.
Promoted from the second division last season, Klagenfurt is currently ranked fourth in Austrian Bundesliga under the head coach Peter Pacult who led Rapid Vienna to win the championship of Austrian top league in 2007-2008 season.
Austria Klagenfurt's managing director Harald Gartner is happy about the good cooperation between the two clubs.
"It makes us very proud that Bayern rate the recent development of Klagenfurt positively and entrust us with young players with great potential. Liu Shaoziyang is a very talented guy who will bring us a lot of joy," he said. ■
