WARSAW, Jan. 27 (Xinhua) -- An oath-taking ceremony was held for the Polish Olympic team on Tuesday before they leave for Beijing for the upcoming Winter Olympic Games.
The Polish Olympic Committee unveiled on Monday the list of 57 athletes who will compete at the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.
The team includes 30 women and 27 men. For the first time in the history of Polish sport, more women than men will go to the Winter Games.
The athletes will take part in biathlon, figure skating, speed skating, cross-country skiing, ski jumping, Nordic combined, alpine skiing, snowboarding and luge with medal hopes pinned on the ski jumpers and the speed skaters.
