BOGOTA, Jan. 24 (Xinhua) -- America de Cali have signed former Tottenham Hotspur and Roma winger Iago Falque for the 2022 Colombian top-flight season, the club said on Monday.
The 32-year-old Spaniard arrives as a free agent, having parted ways with Torino last August. No detail was given about the length of the contract.
"Hello Red Devil fans, I am very happy to be with you. See you soon on the pitch," Falque said in a video posted on the club's social media account.
America de Cali finished eighth in the latest edition of Colombia's top football league, known as Dimayor.
Falque, a former Barcelona youth team player, has spells at Villarreal, Tottenham, Southampton, Almeria, Rayo Vallecano, Genoa, Roma and Torino over a career spanning 12 years. ■
