BEIJING, Jan. 25 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping said on Tuesday that China is all set to deliver a simple, safe and splendid Winter Olympics.
Xi made the remarks when meeting with Thomas Bach, president of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.
Xi noted that everything is ready for the Beijing Winter Olympics following more than six years of preparations.
The 2022 Winter Olympic Games will open on Feb. 4. ■
