LONDON, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The British Olympic Association (BOA) expressed Thursday that the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games is an opportunity to promote further progress in sporting exchanges and cooperation between China and Britain.
Chinese Ambassador to Britain Zheng Zeguang visited the BOA, met with its Chair Sir Hugh Robertson and CEO Andy Anson, briefed the British side about the venues, facilities and COVID-19 countermeasures of the Beijing Winter Olympics and extended his welcome to Team GB.
Robertson and Anson welcomed the visit by Zheng and thanked the Chinese side for the thoughtful facilitation provided to the British team as they get ready for the Games in Beijing.
The BOA appreciates the meticulous and professional arrangements that the Chinese side provides to all participating athletes. It is fully confident that the Beijing Olympics will be a success. ■
