BAKU, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Azerbaijan on Sunday reported 555 new COVID-19 cases, taking its total to 621,234, according to the country's Task Force under the Cabinet of Ministers on COVID-19 prevention and control.
Data from the Task Force showed that 503 more patients have recovered in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of recoveries to 605,561.
Meanwhile, eight people died in the last 24 hours, raising the death toll to 8,445.
As of Sunday, the country had administered a total of 11,498,372 doses of COVID-19 vaccines, according to the Task Force. ■
