JERUSALEM, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- Israel on Monday reported 6,570 new COVID-19 cases, bringing the total number of infections in the country to 1,403,821, or nearly 15 percent of the total population, the state's health ministry said.
The new daily figure is the highest since Sept. 20, 2021, the ministry added.
The number of death cases from the COVID-19 rose to 8,245, with one new fatality, while the number of patients in serious condition decreased from 110 to 108. Enditem
