WASHINGTON, Jan. 3 (Xinhua) -- The 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), the world's premier tech show, will kick off in Las Vegas this week.
More than 2,200 exhibitors and hundreds of thought leaders will join the show, which runs from Jan. 5 to 7. Attendees and media representatives from 159 countries have registered their participation, according to the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), organizer of the CES.
Among them, over 100 health companies will take center stage at this year's show as the highly contagious Omicron variant is spreading around the United States.
Health companies will showcase the latest innovations tackling pandemic-related challenges, including remote patient diagnostics and monitoring, digital therapeutics, mental wellness, wearables and telehealth services.
The show will also feature a plethora of exhibitors advancing two of the most compelling technology megatrends of the future, intelligent automation and the evolution of the metaverse, according to the CTA. Enditem
