KABUL, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- People are harvesting oranges at an orchard in Bati Kot district of Nangarhar province, eastern Afghanistan.
The cultivation work has started to produce more orange orchards on over 270 acres of land in the eastern province of Nangarhar.
Cultivation of citrus, including orange saplings in the vast areas, would bring high incomes for the farmers as well as the greenery of abundant sites in the province.
The citrus fruit, including orange and lemons harvest, has reportedly seen a significant increase of over 12,000 tons this year, compared to the year of 2020 in this warm-climate eastern province, according to local officials.
