JALALABAD, Afghanistan, Dec. 28 (Xinhua) -- A triage center has been opened in the main hospital in Jalalabad city, the capital of Afghanistan's eastern Nangarhar province, the state-run Bakhtar news agency reported Tuesday.
The medical facility was built at a cost of 100,000 U.S. dollars with the financial support from the World Health Organization (WHO). It has the capacity to accommodate 15 patients at one time, said the report.
Afghan health authorities have vowed to do their best to facilitate access to health services for the Afghan people, the report added. Enditem
