HARBIN, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- As a new round of COVID-19 outbreak happened in Harbin on Dec. 2, a total of 42 confirmed cases had been reported in Harbin as of Wednesday.
To screen the potential infections, the city has launched six rounds of nucleic acid testing across its six main urban areas. Meanwhile, strict control measures were implemented to curb the spread of the pandemic.
With steady progress made in COVID-19 control, life in Harbin is gradually returning to normal. More restaurants and shops are reopening to the public.
Harbin, a city known for its ice and snow industries, is also stepping up efforts to build winter recreation sites.
