"We are against the politicization of the #COVID19 pandemic," says Galina Kulikova, first deputy chairperson of the Russia-China Friendship Association.
On May 28, the World Health Organization (WHO) reiterated its call for a "de-politicized environment" for the study on COVID-19 virus origins, as the whole process of the study is being "poisoned by politics."
On May 26, U.S. President Joe Biden gave U.S. intelligence agencies 90 days to report on whether the virus originated from an animal source or from a laboratory accident.
The WHO said in March that COVID-19 introduction through a laboratory incident was considered to be an "extremely unlikely" pathway, refuting lab-leak theories.
