Chile received a new batch of China's Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines on Sunday.
The shipment arrived at the Santiago airport and was transported to the pharmaceutical logistics center Perilogistics in the capital.
Over a third of the population in the country have taken two doses. Most of them received the Sinovac vaccine.
The Sinovac vaccine was approved for emergency use in Chile on Jan. 20.
Chile's mass vaccination program began on Feb. 3, with the aim of immunizing 15 million of the 19 million people in the country during the first half of 2021.
