Ecuador receives a first batch of Chinese-developed Sinovac COVID-19 vaccines on Wednesday.
Ecuadorian President Lenin Moreno welcomed the arrival of vaccines at the airport, along with Foreign Minister Manuel Mejia, and the Chinese Ambassador to Ecuador, Chen Guoyou.
It is the largest shipment of vaccine doses that the South American country has received so far to accelerate its national immunization plan among the population.
