Close cooperation between Russia and China is key to solving the COVID-19 pandemic situation, said a Russian expert in a recent interview with Xinhua. China helped Russia deal with the situation better, said Vladimir Zharikhin, the deputy director of the Commonwealth of Independent States Institute, a think tank that studies the former Soviet republics. He added that the two countries need to work jointly to fight the pandemic.
