RIYADH, March 28 (Xinhua) -- China has been doing a good job by offering useful experience and providing medical support to other countries to fight the COVID-19, a Saudi expert says.
China has put forth several proposals to combat the COVID-19 at the just concluded Group of 20 (G20) virtual summit, including sharing experience and assisting countries affected by virus, Abdulaziz Alshaabani, Saudi journalist and researcher in Chinese affairs, recently told Xinhua.
"China suffered from the outbreak of coronavirus, and now it has achieved a great deal in containing the epidemic at home. The experience is worth learning," said Alshaabani, adding that China has the technology and knowledge that can contribute to the global fight against this crisis.
Speaking of the joint fight against the epidemic between China and Saudi Arabia, Alshaabani said after the coronavirus broke out in China, the Saudi government and society offered help to China with multiple batches of material assistance.
"Saudi and China need to work together and enhance exchanges and cooperation in prevention and control experience to protect the lives and health of the people in both countries," he said.
On the G20 virtual summit on COVID-19 held on Thursday. the expert said the G20 leaders reached important consensus on fighting the virus.
"I think solidarity and cooperation among countries is what we need to see at the moment in the international community, and G20 has set a good example this time," Alshaabani said.
