BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Political party leaders from around the world have expressed appreciation for the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s experience-sharing in epidemic prevention and control and its timely assistance provided to other countries.
In messages sent to the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, political party leaders from around the world believe that China's anti-virus experience has provided important references for other countries, and the attempt of specific countries to stigmatize China has no popular support.
Asadollah Badamchian, secretary-general of Iran's Islamic Coalition Party, said under Xi's wise leadership, the CPC as well as the Chinese government and people have invested enormous resources and made arduous efforts to combat the COVID-19 epidemic, providing valuable experience and a successful example for other countries around the globe to cope with the pandemic.
He also said the Iranian side sincerely thanks the CPC for sharing its experience in fighting the epidemic and providing important assistance.
Helal Helal, deputy general secretary of Syria's Arab Socialist Ba'ath Party, said that the spread of the epidemic is worrying the whole world, but certain countries are still pursuing their selfish political interests.
He said they highly appreciate the great efforts China has made in fighting the epidemic with a "people-centered" philosophy, adding that the victory for China is a victory for all mankind.
Camilo Sanchez, general secretary of the Colombia Liberal Party, also expressed gratitude to the CPC for sharing China's experience in fighting the epidemic, which provides an important reference for Colombia, which is trying its best to prevent and control the outbreak.
In the global fight against the pandemic, he said they recognize the necessity and urgency of building a community with a shared future for mankind and stand ready to work with the CPC to safeguard regional and global public health security.
Former Slovenian President Danilo Turk said they highly appreciate China's anti-epidemic assistance to European countries, which has set an example of solidarity and mutual assistance for the international community.
Some countries blindly blamed other countries, which will only poison the international political environment, he said, adding that all countries around the globe should contribute to international cooperation against the pandemic.
Other foreign party leaders including Mushahid Hussain Syed, a leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz, Kamal Chatila, head of the Lebanese Popular Congress, Robert Abela, the leader of Malta's Labor Party, and Enrique Santiago, secretary-general of the Communist Party of Spain also made calls or sent messages, praising China's positive progress in combating the epidemic, which has injected confidence and hope into the world, and expressing their readiness to jointly promote global cooperation in the virus fight.
