BEIJING, March 25 (Xinhua) -- Political party leaders from around the world have expressed appreciation for the Communist Party of China (CPC)'s experience-sharing in epidemic prevention and control and its timely assistance provided to other countries.
In messages sent to the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, political party leaders from around the world believe that China's anti-virus experience has provided important references for other countries, and the attempt of specific countries to stigmatize China has no popular support.
Sounthone Xayachack, head of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee's commission for external relations, said under the leadership and deployment of Chinese President Xi Jinping, the CPC has shown strong political leadership and has developed scientific and effective prevention and control measures, pushing forward to establish a mechanism for joint prevention and control as a whole in the country.
China has innovatively adopted the combination of traditional Chinese and Western medicine in treating COVID-19, and has achieved remarkable progress against the virus in such a short time, Sounthone said.
The CPC has shared its experience from China's fight against COVID-19 with political parties around the world in a letter and has provided the Lao side with much-needed epidemic prevention supplies like "sending charcoal in snowy weather," Sounthone noted.
Secretary-General of Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle Hasto Kristiyanto and the party's Chairman of Foreign Relations Ronas Pardianto said that under the strong leadership of Xi and the CPC, China, with its anti-epidemic practices, has set an excellent example for the international community, which they have benefited a lot.
The two noted that the great spirit shown by the Chinese government and its people to battle the epidemic with concerted efforts has lit up the whole world.
President of the Democratic Party in Timor-Leste Mariano Sabino Lopes said under the further development of economic globalization and cultural diversity, mutual learning and interdependence among different civilizations are needed.
Sabino added that we should not be over-concerned about the virus' origin, but should join hands to fight the virus together.
Bangladesh Awami League Party Presidium Member and Parliamentary Standing Committee Chairman on Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Matin Khasru said virus should not be differentiated by country, society, political system and cultural values, and it is crucial for countries to enhance experience sharing and strengthen international cooperation on epidemic prevention.
All the countries have benefited from China's anti-epidemic experience, and the sincere help offered by China is worth to be highly appreciated, Khasru noted.
