MUSCAT, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Oman decided Thursday to suspend tourist visas for all countries for 30 days starting from March 15.
The decision was made in a meeting held Thursday by Oman's supreme committee to deal with the coronavirus.
Several other decisions were also made during the meeting, including stopping the entry of all tourist ships to the country's ports and the suspension of all sports activities.
The committee also recommended citizens not to travel outside the country except for extreme necessity.
According to an official statement issued by the committee on Thursday, the total number of COVID-19 cases in the country is 18, of whom 9 have fully recovered and the rest are stable.
