KHARTOUM, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Sudanese government on Thursday issued a decision banning entry of citizens of several countries hit by coronavirus.
The decision stops issuing entry visas for foreign nationals from countries including "Korea, China, Italy, Iran, France, Spain, Japan and Egypt," according to a statement issued by Sudan's Minister of Cabinet Affairs Omer Manis.
The decision further stipulated closure of border crossings close to Egypt including Ashkit, Arqin and Halfa river passage.
The decision urged the Sudanese citizens to avoid travelling to the infected countries except for extreme necessity.
According to the most recent report by Sudan's Health Ministry on Wednesday, so far Sudan has not registered any case of coronavirus.
