TUNIS, March 12 (Xinhua) -- Tunisian Ministry of Health confirmed on Thursday six new coronavirus cases in the country, bringing the total number of infection cases to thirteen.
"Following 72 lab tests, 6 new people were confirmed to be infected with the virus," said Nissaf Ben Alaya, director general of the National Observatory of New and Emerging Diseases at a press briefing.
According to the Tunisian official, two of the six new cases have returned from France while four were infected by other patients.
Ben Alaya confirmed that no deaths from the Corona virus have been registered in Tunisia so far.
Tunisian Foreign Minister Noureddine Erray expressed on March 6 support for China's efforts to combat the novel coronavirus and his country was willing to work with China to fight the epidemic.
