MANILA, March 12 (Xinhua) -- The Philippines reported on Thursday that three more coronavirus patients have died at Manila hospitals.
"This brings the number of COVID-19 deaths to five," the Department of Health said in a statement late Thursday night.
The new deaths include a 59-year-old Filipino female patient and her husband, a 62-year-old Filipinos male, from Rizal Province, outside Metro Manila, and an 88-year-old Filipino male from Pasig City in Metro Manila.
There are now a total of 52 confirmed coronavirus cases in the Philippines, including five deaths.
